Ageratec Biodiesel Processor


By choosing an Ageratec Processor you are the owner of one of the most robust and reliable biodiesel processors on the market that will last for many years of production. All raw material and biodiesel wetted parts are made of stainless steel to ensure long lifetime. All the rotating equipment comes from the largest manufacturers in the world with service locally almost anywhere in the world.



All Ageratec Processors are automated and built with industrial quality, professional assembly and high finish. The processor is compliant with the highest European and World Safety regulations, ATEX and CE standard in every detail.

Ageratec Processors are ready-built and functioning tested before delivery. All pumps and systems are frame mounted. The modular design simplifies installation process and reduces engineering costs. Furthermore, thanks to the modular design, plant capacity can easily be expanded with relatively low costs.

The batch System vouches for flexibility in handling different feed stocks. If chosen the processor can run continuously and produce batch after batch automatically. All processors are delivered with a performance guarantee in which Ageratec guarantees that the biodiesel produced will meet the ASTM 6751 and EN 14214 when the instructions for the processor and raw material specification are followed.

Biodiesel Process and Pre treatment



All PE-models of Ageratec Biodiesel Processors are adapted to handle animal fats and oils (also UCO or WVO) with an FFA percentage up to 10% of all kinds. They are built for batch process with acid esterification in combination with one to two step alkaline trans-esterification reaction with water free washing and methanol recovery. The operator can easily change raw material to any that is matching Ageratec’s corresponding raw material specification, just by changing recipe. The acid esterifiction increases the yield as the FFA turns into biodiesel instead of being wasted. If the raw material allows the operator can leave out the esterification and choose a two step transesterification instead.

If the intended feedstock does not have an acceptable quality, Ageratec can offer different kinds of pretreatment systems. As Ageratec is co-operating with one of the world’s leading and most experienced manufacturer of such equipments we can offer a solution for almost any kind of problem.

Short Technical Description


Ageratec Biodiesel Processors are monitored and controlled from a touch screen located placed on the processor. For our larger industrial models a monitoring and control system is centrally located in a separate control room. This is an addition to the touch screen on the processor unit/s and will ensure high quality consistency.

The process is run by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that controls the process parameters, sequences and time intervals. All Ageratec Biodiesel Processors are delivered with a Batch Control System (BCS) that saves all processing data for 365 days.

On Ageratec processors all raw material and biodiesel wetted parts are made of stainless steel to ensure long lifetime. PE models have acid proof stainless steel in all components and details that are in contact with an acid environment.

Ageratec processors are composed of different types of stainless steel tanks; one pre-heating tank (only PE3000); one or more tanks constructed to work under pressure and vacuum for pretreatment and reaction etc; one or more Methanol recovery tanks and one or more seal water tanks for the vacuum pump.

Ageratec Processors have one or more heat pumps to carry out the heating and cooling of the process, with the assistance of an electrical/steam exchange heater. All rotating equipment i.e biodiesel separator/s, comes from the largest manufacturers in the world with service locally almost anywhere in the world.

All components are mounted on a steel frame. For larger models this frame is built in sections for easy transport.

Methanol is compounded in a separate receptacle (not included) in approved space and location. Glycerol is drained onto drums (not included) for further processing or for the purpose of being sold. Biodiesel filtrates in two steps in order to avoid problems with fuel filters.


Ageratec Biodiesel Processors, Single Units


PE3000
Ageratec's smallest processors available with acid esterification process (PE-model). For more information see biodiesel process above. The PE3000 is proven in use biodiesel processor, sold all over the world and used for processing many different kind of feedstocks. It is suitable for anyone who wants to process up to 3000 litres per 24 hours or 900 metric tons per year.

PE8000
Ageratec's middle single processor has a processing capacity of 8 000 litres per 24 hours (2 500 metric tons per year). These processors are built for full flexibility concerning raw material and process (see biodiesel process above). The design is much like the large single processors but instead of three vacuum tanks they have two.

PE24000
Ageratec's largest single Processor has a capacity of 24 000 litres per 24 hours (7 300 metric tons per year). These processors are easy to scale up. If final capacity is expected to be more than 32 000 litres per 24 hours the PE24000 is is the most economical single model to start with.

MULTI-LINK PROCESSORS
PE48000 etc up to PE336000

At Ageratec, innovation is key. One of those innovations is to link processor units into larger systems. With this kind of processor it is possible to process several different types of feedstock at the same time. The different single processors that are linked together can be run in either single or multi link mode. In multi link mode the different units in the processor co-operate which makes the processor work more efficiently.

The size and capacity is the main difference between the different models,
10 000 to 103 000 MT per year.

Each unit of the Ageratec Multi-Link Processor is ready-built and functioning tested before delivery. All pumps and systems are mounted on steel frame units. This means that they are easy to transport and install which keeps the costs down for site engineering and production facility The processing plant for an Ageratec Multi-link biodiesel system simply requires a facility of industrial standard with concrete flooring.
